A little help.

For a question, a painting that will not open, or something that needs attention, get in touch with paintr’s owner.

A painting link and a short description help. Please do not send passwords, verification codes, identity documents or original photos.

Get paintr on your iPhone or iPad

Download paintr from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad. It is free, available in the United States, and requires iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later.

If someone sent you a painting, return to that same link after installing paintr, then choose Open paintr. Painting and community exploration happen in the app.

Open a painting someone sent you

Open the original sharing link on the device with paintr installed. If it opens a webpage, choose Open paintr. If you just installed the app, reopen the link rather than looking for the painting in an empty Studio.

If a link is unavailable, ask the sender to check it. A community painting may have been removed or the community may be unavailable in your region. Each imported painting is your own blank copy; the sender’s coloring progress is not included.

Join in with the community

Explore community paintings in the app. Browse without an account, then sign in with Apple to share your generated paintings, like, report or suggest tags. The community beta starts in the United States, with contributions for people 16 and older.

New shares are checked for safety, including the finished image behind a surprise. If a painting is declined, you can keep painting privately. If you think the decision is mistaken, contact support with its sharing details. If checks are temporarily unavailable, try again later. A support message does not automatically overturn a decision or restriction.

Report a painting or an ownership concern

Open the community painting in the app, choose its options menu, then Report painting. It is hidden for you immediately and sent to paintr’s owner for review. You can also hide a creator’s paintings. A report does not automatically remove a post for everyone.

For an ownership concern, an unlisted link, or a problem you cannot report in the app, email support@paintr.dev with the painting link and a short explanation.

Remove a post or delete your community account

If your app has a Profile tab, open it to find your shared paintings and Community account. In earlier versions, open My community paintings or Community account from Explore. Remove a post from your shared paintings, or open Community account and follow the account deletion steps. Your personal paintings stay in Studio, and other players keep copies they already saved.

Unlisted sharing links are separate and are not removed by deleting your community account. Contact support for help with those links. See the privacy page for retention and deletion limits.

Look after your saved work

If a painting was deleted from Studio, check Recently Deleted. For sync and backup settings, open Your work & iCloud in the app. An editable .paintr backup can include the original image and progress, so save or send it only where you intend.

If something seems missing, contact support before removing the app or changing your saved files. Include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, paintr version and what happened. You do not need to send the original photo.
